Our Luxclub Bamboo Viscose Sheets review

It is crucial for you as a customer to always read reviews of a product you desire to buy (in this case, bedsheets). It is still good to research how people who have purchased and used the products experienced them instead of solely relying on adverts. Companies create websites to showcase the products they are selling. A small section is included in that website where customers can write their reviews on the product they have bought and used. These reviews are useful to both the company and the prospective customers. You (the prospect customer) will learn about the company’s credibility. This way, you can avoid fraudsters. You will also learn about what the customers liked most or did not like about the product. In a nutshell, these reviews help you make a sober decision on whether to buy or leave the sheets.

You will find reviews based on various aspects like quality, durability, cost, maintenance, and many more. Our review on Luxclub Bamboo viscose Sheets is based on comfort, quality, eco-score, cooling, and easy maintenance. We rated each feature on a scale of 1 to 10. Read on to know how/why we rated these features the way we did.

Comfort (8.5/10)

When we checked out the company’s description of these sheets, they were described to be super soft. Since we bought these sheets online, there was no way to test whether they were really soft. But, these sheets surprised us. They were silky soft and luxuriously comfortable. We loved these sheets because we slept cool on these sheets after many nights of sleeping hot. It was amazing because if you have slept on a memory foam, you know how hot it gets.

We rated the comfort of these sheets 8.5 out of 10 because with our 14 inches memory foam, the sheet pulled from the corners. There seemed to be no enough elastic to hold it on the four sides. The sheet bunched itself in the middle, which was not pleasant. We had to buy elastic sheet clips to keep them in and prevent them from slipping.

Quality (8.2/10)

Just like everyone else, we wanted every dollar we spent on these sheets to be worth it. What we loved most about these sheets is that after using them, I have not incurred any skin reaction as it has been the case with some sheets we used before. This led us to believe that these sheets are hypoallergenic. One instance that frightened us was when we found the sheet covered in pet hairs from our dog that lunged on our bed all day. We breathed a sigh of relief when we easily brushed off the hairs by hand. We were worried these sheets would be too delicate to handle after seeing how soft and lightweight they were. But again, this was not the case. They turned out to be very sturdy.

Though these sheets seem to be durable, we rated their quality at 8.2 out of 10. The reason for this is that these sheets were too thin for us. You could see our bright printed mattress through the burgundy wine color of our sheet. Now that we have mentioned the colors, we had ordered eggplant color, but we received a burgundy wine-like color instead. This disappointed us because the eggplant color on the listing could have complemented our bedroom color nicely.

Eco-Score (8.4/10)

We are not environmentally conscious consumers, honestly, but we felt satisfied using eco-friendly sheets ( according to the company). We love our mother earth, so don’t mistake my statement. For you, we decided to do some research about the manufacturing of these sheets. As mentioned earlier, these sheets are 40% bamboo and 60% microfiber. So, we did our research on the impact these two have on the environment. This is what we found out.

Bamboo is considered to be eco-friendly because it is a very fast-growing plant, thus renewable. To thrive, bamboo does not require the use of pesticides or herbicides. Though bamboo is said to be eco-friendly, that is not completely true. This is because of the chemical process used during manufacturing to transform organic bamboo into yarns. Some companies said that bamboo is biodegradable. FTC dismissed this; they argued that bamboo does not break down in a reasonably short time after customary disposal.

Microfiber is not a renewable resource, nor is it biodegradable. The common types of microfiber, polyester, and polyamide are made from petrochemicals that are not eco-friendly. However, some renewable microfibers like prolene and polypropylene are unfortunately not used in bedding (bedsheets).

Based on what we found out, we decided to give eco-score a rating of 8.4 out of 10.

Cooling (8.8/10)

If you are a hot sleeper like me, you clearly understand the struggle one goes through to find cooling sheets. My situation has been made worse by our memory foam. This mattress is extremely hot. You would not like to know how it feels like during summer, trust me. To be honest, buying new bed sheets for us has been a trial and error process until we found these. The company promised that its thermo-cooling mechanism was superb. As usual, we decided to give them a try. Well, after all the trials and errors we have been through, I can say that these sheets worked like magic. It felt like a breath of fresh air after suffocation. Believe it or not, I have not woken up all sweaty with my clothes and hair sticking on my body again (this used to be me every day). This made me fall in love with these sheets entirely. I could use them all year long because during winter, these sheets are pretty warm and cozy.

Why we rated cooling 8.8 out of 10 was because of two reasons. Some of the people who slept on these sheets said they slept extremely hot on these sheets. Two, it was during summer where the temperatures outside were roasting hot. This made me worry because our room was hot. After slipping in bed, I almost got a panic attack because it took like 2-3 hours before the sheets cooled. Those hours felt like a whole night; all I did was toss and turn, making me sweat even more.

Easy maintenance (8.2/10)

If you have cared for bamboo fabric before, then caring for these sheets is no brainer. All you need is to use a delicate cycle to wash, tumble dry on low, and not use any bleach. As always, we followed these instructions to the letter. I could not contain my joy when these sheets came out unwrinkled (bye ironing). The color too was the same. It had not faded even a little bit.

The reason why the score is 8.2 out of 10 is because these sheets pilled badly. We had to sit there for extra 45 minutes with our battery-operated depiller to get rid of all the fuzz balls. There was no way we were going to sleep on them with those fuzz balls.

Final verdict 8.4

Based on the above scores, the average rating is 8.4. This clearly shows that these sheets are better than any average sheets like the average cotton. Based on our experience with these sheets, they gave more advantages than disadvantages.

We can wholeheartedly sacrifice the 45 minutes and the extra dollars to purchase the elastic clip for these sheets’ comfort and cooling.
