Getting an opportunity to use the Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheet was one of my month’s highlights. A friend had introduced me to Great Bay Home household products a couple of months back. Finding this sheet in the linen section while rushing to prepare the guest room for an old school friend was a lifesaver. At first, I was skeptical about fixing up the guest room with a bedcover I wasn’t familiar with, turns out I had no reason to worry.

After going through the manufacturer’s description and test-run reviews, I had no doubt there was no need to be bothered about never testing the product. Just in case you are in a similar shoe and need detailed information about the Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheet before making a purchase decision, read on.

Have you heard of the comfy jersey material sheets? Most likely, you have. There are quite a number of them on sale these days. In any case, Great Bay Home King Jersey is one of these bedcovers and can be a great introduction to the fabric if you are new on the block. Of course, asides from the fact that this product can be categorized with other jersey fabric sheets, it also has some intrinsic qualities that are specific to it.

This product is made from a perfect blend of 65% cotton and 35% polyester to produce an extra soft, lightweight, and cozy sheet. Because it is a jersey knit, it is warm and homey and feels like sleeping in your favorite T-shirt, although not as worn. Usually, cotton sheets have a thickness dimension of about 140 to 150 grams per square meter, but this spread has a thickness of 180 GSM. This high tensile strength reflects on its anti-tear and shrink properties, coupled with the fact that the material is stretchable and flexible. With a straightforward maintenance routine and an easy-on-the-skin texture, this product is perfect all year long.

A complete king-sized set of Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheet contains 1 78” x 80” fitted sheet, 1 108” x 102” flat sheet, and 2 20” x 40” pillowcases. Our Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheets Review

After the initial knee jerk reaction I had toward this product, I realized the need to save other customers from this immediate distrust of new, unfamiliar products. Hence this review. It is vital to state that this review is wholly subjective and based on the writer’s experience. While there is little to no doubt that you have a varying opinion, it is possible with the right circumstances.

Additionally, we have addressed each of its essential qualities as an entire sub-topic in addressing this product’s review. This will enable you to have a holistic approach to making a purchase decision on this product. With other reviews we found online and our first-hand experience, here are what we found out.

Comfort (8.0/10)

I specifically love the texture of these sheets. It was my first introduction to jersey material sheets, and I can say it has raised the bar for other bedcovers that I might get later on. Ordinarily, I prefer plain cotton sheets because of its warm feel during the winter, but now this product comes in as a close second. The fabric is soft, light but all the same thick – really feels like you are sleeping in a favorite tee. At first, I was skeptical about a flannel jersey sheet that is a blend of cotton and polyester. It turns out it is as soft as flannel but not hot.

I bought them for the spare bedroom but now use it in the main. Just one night snuggling up to the pillow, and I knew I needed that same cloudy feel every night. The spreads are very breathable, stretchy, and fits nicely on both the mattress and the pillow. Once the opportunity presents itself, I’m buying another set. All in all, I believe a score of 8.0 does justice to this aspect.

Quality (8.3/10)

Honestly, I had my tongue in cheek while buying this spread. Since I bought it as a spare for the guest bedroom, I wasn’t expecting much from it in terms of quality, especially considering the low price. This product is absolutely the best. It fits snugly and neatly on my king-sized mattress and doesn’t wrinkle when you jump in bed. Although I’d have preferred more colors to choose from, I was able to work with what I had.

This sheet has a higher density than everyday cotton sheets but remains soft and lightweight. Although it is a jersey knit of cotton and polyester blend, it is smooth and has a cool texture. After a couple of runs through the wash, it still maintained its shape and didn’t pill or tear at the seams. The elastic edges of the pillows also did not turn up or shrink as I had expected. I don’t know much about the process of dyeing this material, but whatever method they used worked. Few months in, with several washes, the color is still as vibrant as the first day the sheets came out of the package.

Without any doubt, I believe I got way more than I paid for. I could have scored it higher, but to leave room for objectivity, I decided to settle for 8.3.

ECO Score (7.0/10)

Well, I didn’t initially give thought to how eco-friendly Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheet was at the get-go. Notwithstanding, since the disposal method was accurately detailed in the accompanying manufacturer’s manual, I decided to pay extra attention. Ordinarily, jersey sheets made from synthetic materials are not as eco-friendly as those made from natural fiber like cotton. But, this product is a blend between both cotton and polyester, which is a synthetic fiber.

This product is recyclable, although you will need to pay attention to how you dispose of it. Equally, the production process requires more resources, mostly water and energy, than the average bedcover. Despite this, routine maintenance and care don’t need as many resources as other jersey sheets. Even though the sheet isn’t certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the information in the manufacturer’s manual claims that the sheet was partially stonewashed to remove chemicals and other toxic substances. Anyway, an average score of 7.0 seems perfect for this aspect of this sheet.

Cooling (7.6/10)

I love the texture of these spreads. Finding out they were flannel jerseys was a bit of concern since I knew flannel sheets could be a little bit warm, especially in the summer. But, it seems the cotton blend has reduced this effect. The material is very breathable and is a beautiful mix, especially when I combined it with a duvet from one of my bamboo sheets set. They feel just right all year long, not too hot, and not too cold either. Although I never used them with the accompanying duvet, I tried that once, and it felt too hot.

In case you buy the complete set of this product, you might have to use a different duvet, especially during the summer. Also, try to use a smooth duvet set. Any rough, wool duvet, and you may risk getting bundled up in between the sheets. While I enjoyed the spread, I didn’t find it as cool as I needed it to be – perhaps it will feel better in Iceland. All in all, a score of 7.6 seems just right.

Easy Maintenance (8.5/10)

I run a busy schedule daily, so having a machine-washable sheet is perfectly ideal for me. Additionally, seeing as I could also toss them in the dryer, it was relatively easy to wash. The Great Bay Home King Jersey sheet does not pill or fade after washing, although I’ve been washing it with hot water since I got them.

The manufacturer’s manual for this product contains instructions on how to handle and care for it without difficulty. If you follow the instructions, you shouldn’t have any issues whatsoever. By the way, while tumble drying this sheet, keep the temperature low, or you risk causing roughness on the wrong side of the sheet. This happened to my pillowcases. Also, I’d have preferred if they had an accompanying linen bag, but I can’t exactly complain about the price. I got a good deal for my pennies. For maintenance and care, a score of 8.5 is justified.

Final Verdict 7.9

After carefully going through all the sections of Great Bay Home King Jersey Sheets, you will realize that the sheets have some benefits and, of course, some downsides. Notwithstanding, with the right ideas and creative solutions, you should be able to get around some of the downsides. If you are not satisfied with the product, you can always return it for a refund. However, you need to do this within the stipulated period.

To ensure a full approach, the review and scoring system used for this product is a submission from different individuals’ experiences. Unanimously, we agreed that a final score of 7.9 best describes this product. Whatever you decide, ensure it is for your maximum comfort.
