Nothing excites us quite like a new set of cotton sheets. We simply can’t hide that this is one of our favorite fabrics to sleep on! Considering the fact that we spend 1/3 of our lives in bed, sheets should be one of the biggest investments that you make.

Today we wanted to share one of our biggest discoveries in the world of bedding through this CGK Unlimited cotton sheets review. After spending a while testing these sheets, we’re happy to say they did live up to our expectations! Read now to find out all the details before making a purchase:

Like any other set of sheets that we’ve ever reviewed, we found these to have both negative and positive sides worth mentioning:

  • Great quality
  • Good fit
  • Excellent customer service

  • Limited color choice
  • Trap heat
  • Colors don’t fit the pictures online

What are CGK Unlimited Cotton sheets made of?

The CGK Unlimited cotton sheets are made of 100% combed cotton. According to the company, they only use the highest quality long-staple cotton fibers. They remove all the short fibers and only utilize the long fibers to ensure that the fabric is strong, soft, and durable. This set features a 400 thread count and is made with a sateen weave. In other words, it has a slight sheen that gives the sheets an even more luxurious finish.

The CGK Unlimited cotton bed sheets come in seven different sizes. You can choose between Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, Split King, and California King. Like most other sets, all include two pillowcases, excluding sizes Twin and Twin XL. We are definitely missing the option to order more pillowcases without having to get the entire set. Maybe that’s something the brand would consider in the future since so many other people expressed the same desire.

When it comes to colors, the company likes to keep it simple. The sets are available in nine different colors, but we’re pretty sure you’ll find one that you love. If you are obsessed with numerous color choices and prints, this selection can be disappointing.

These sheets are produced in factories in India. As CGK Unlimited shares, this is a country that is known for the use of high-quality fabrics.

Our CGK Unlimited Cotton sheets review

Aside from the pros and cons that we mentioned above, we would now want to get even more in detail, to paint you the best picture possible. Continue reading to find out why we rated the CGK Unlimited sheets with these scores for comfort, quality, cooling, ECO, and maintenance.

Comfort (8.0/10)

Comfort is very high up on our list whenever we’re reviewing a product. If you don’t feel comfortable in your own bed, it’s simply not worth it. They key is to find a set of sheets that will make your night’s sleep the best thing ever. Although we felt really comfy and cozy on these sheets, there are still a few downsides that deserve an honorable mention.

Static electricity can destroy the sleeping experience, so it’s a good thing you won’t notice any with these sheets. Aside from the sheen finish that they feature, they also deliver a buttery feeling once you get in bet. What more could a person ask for? It doesn’t mean that you’ll be slipping and sliding off the mattress; it means that you’ll be nestled in soft, cozy fabric.

We’ve mentioned many times before that cotton is a material that only gets better in time. Once you receive the set you’ve ordered, you might find it a bit stiff, but they won’t be in any form uncomfortable. You’ll see that after several washes, they will become softer. That’s when you’ll be able to fully experience the ultimate comfort that cotton sheets have to offer.

You shouldn’t be having any trouble fitting the sheets on your mattress; at least we and most of the thousands of reviews online didn’t. The set comes with deep pockets and a fully elasticized fitted sheet that makes the experience much easier. There was one night when we woke up with the corners of the sheets slipping off the mattress, but it only happened once.

Now, let’s get to the less desirable part of a review. These sheets’ comfort is slightly ruined because they are not very breathable, and we woke up several nights in a row feeling too hot.

We couldn’t really form a final grade without including these three very important characteristics. For tensile, the CGK Unlimited cotton sheets get an 8.1, for shear 8.3 and their smoothness score is 7.7. That is how we reached a concluding score of 8.0 for comfort.

Quality (8.4/10)

Quality is crucial when buying sheets. You don’t want to see your new set pilling or ripping only after a few weeks of use. Cotton is a well-known and safe fabric when it comes to bedding. It’s also one of our favorites as well, especially because of the amazing durability. This set reached almost all of our expectations and surprised us very pleasantly. We can’t help to mention that the low price for the sheets does not prevent them from being a high-quality product. Such a real bargain!

The fabric is thick but not too thick. It’s also not too heavy, which means you’ll feel comfortable sleeping in it. There is no doubt that these sheets’ quality is great, but we still felt like the whole experience would’ve been even better if they offered more color choices and prints as well. The bedding market is so competitive, with many rival brands delivering over 30 variants of hues and patterns. If diversity is something on your mind, you won’t find it here. But, they do an amazing job delivering the classic, timeless white cotton sheets that will never age.

For this price, we just can’t stop raving about the CGK Unlimited cotton sheets. They feel very luxurious and durable, with equal quality to many Egyptian cotton sheets. The brand does not lie when they say that this set is hotel-quality, and it will last many years.

The main reason why we’re not giving this set a higher grade for this section in our CGK Unlimited cotton sheets review is the fact that we noticed slight pilling after a few months of use. Cotton sheets are meant to last generations, that’s why we were really surprised to see pills after a short time. Full disclosure, this only happened to the colored sheets, so that might be useful to mention.

One of the things that put us off right from the start was the unpleasant smell of the sheets when we opened the package. Thankfully, the smell completely disappeared after the first wash. This is not something that ruins the quality of bedsheets, but it does have a negative impact on the overall experience, especially for people who are sensitive to odors.

To finalize, another factor that helped us form a score of 8.4 is that the dye did not fade even after many washes in the washing machine.

ECO- Score (9.1/10)

Being eco-friendly is important in all industries. We really appreciate it when a brand makes sure to protect the environment and the health of their customers. CGK Unlimited use no harmful dyes or chemical in the production of their cotton sheets. To make things even better, their sheets are made only with environmentally-friendly premium dyes.

The sheets are produced in India, a country with a long history of quality production. This is another thing that helped us form an ECO-Score. Unfortunately, many companies tend not to disclose the location of the factories where they create their products. The fact that this one is willing to disclose these details fully is really important.

Thanks to the nature of the cotton fabric, plus the fact that the company uses no harmful chemicals, we can confirm that these sheets are hypoallergenic and mite resistant. So, if you have any allergies or skin conditions that make you more sensitive, this is a set that you’ll feel comfortable sleeping in.

To wrap up this score, we considered that cotton is a biodegradable material that is not synthetically produced. It does deliver high-quality products that are not meant for single-use, instead can last for many years without tears or rips.

Cooling (7.5/10)

Cooling is not always a strong suit of cotton sheets. This set is made using a sateen weave, so it’s expected to be less breathable compared to percale.

Although the fabric is not thick or heavy, we felt like the sheets still retained quite a lot of heat. Unfortunately, we found this set to be less breathable than described. In our opinion, these will be the ideal choice for cold winter nights when you need to stay warm. If you are not a hot sleeper, the set is a perfect choice, especially if you consider the amazing price. Anyways, not everyone feels the same when it comes to thermal conductivity, so we’ll leave it to you to decide. The thousands of online reviews are very mixed as well, so we can’t deny that the sheets are worth a try even if you are not a cool sleeper.

The thermal conductivity for the CGK Unlimited cotton sheets is 7, the weight is 9, and the thickness is 7.7. That comes up to 7.5 for cooling, a grade that explains our experience to the T.

Easy Maintenance (8.7/10)

If you’re one of the people who complain about wrinkly sheets, cotton is probably not the material to opt for. The truth is that all cotton sheets wrinkle; that’s one of the pointers that assures you that you’re getting what you paid for.

These sheets do wrinkle plenty, but there’s nothing an iron can’t fix. People who don’t want to see their beds with creased sheets should avoid cotton and opt for wrinkle-free materials. For instance, I don’t really mind ironing from time to time, but I also don’t mind wrinkled sheets. Our whole team felt like they’re effortless to maintain and didn’t even pay too much attention to the creases.

The best way to save yourself from ironing cotton sheets is to wash and dry them properly. The faster you take them out of the washer and dryer, the fewer wrinkles you’ll see. We recommend that you don’t use high heat when drying and that you take them out shortly before the cycle is done. You can then fold them or place them straight on the mattress.

Ordering a dark-colored sheet can sometimes turn into a nightmare after several cycles in the washer. Thankfully, that did not happen with this set. Even after many washes, the color stayed the same, without any fading. This applies both to the darker and lighter hues. That must be a result of the premium dyes that the company uses.

Because of the enjoyable experience we had maintaining these sheets, we give them a score of 8.7 out of 10.

Final verdict 8.4

There’s something so addictive about these cotton sheets that made us not want to take them off the mattress. Our overall experience is very pleasant, and we would definitely purchase again. The reasons why we recommend them to everyone are numerous.

One of the biggest pros that came up very high on our list is a high-quality production. The sheets look flawless, are very pleasant and comfortable to sleep on. Next, it’s the fact that they use environmentally-friendly dyes and avoid all harmful chemicals. On the other hand, we really wouldn’t recommend them to hot sleepers or people who live in very hot areas. We’re pretty sure that you’ll find the maintenance effortless, but be aware that there will be wrinkles. It’s something that’s expected from cotton sheets and only attests to the quality of the material.

The final verdict in this CGK Unlimited cotton sheets review is an 8.4 out of 10, making them one of our favorite cotton sets.
